What exactly is TubeRec?
A desktop video production system. It gives Claude Code or Codex everything an editor needs: style rules, editing playbooks, motion templates, maps, effects, music, a footage finder and a renderer. You give it a script or audio, your AI assistant does the editing, and the video renders on your computer.
What does “$0 per minute” mean?
TubeRec has no credits, no per-minute fees and no project limits. You pay once. The editing runs on the Claude Code or Codex subscription you already have, so its normal usage limits apply.
What do I need to use it?
A Windows PC and a Claude Code or Codex subscription. No extra AI API keys are needed for editing. Optional premium voice providers have their own keys and costs, or you can upload your own narration.
Can I make my own style?
Yes. Paste a YouTube link or drop in a reference video. Your assistant studies its pacing, typography, graphics, transitions and sound, then saves it as a reusable style for your future videos.
Where does the footage come from?
TubeRec’s footage finder searches YouTube, public archives and other sites for real B-roll and images. No footage API keys needed. You are responsible for checking the rights for how you use it.
Where are my videos stored?
On your computer. Projects, downloaded footage and finished videos stay in your local workspace.
